TXD Coconut is a hybrid coconut variety developed by crossing Tall (T) and Dwarf (D) coconut varieties. It is widely cultivated for its high yield, strong growth, and good-quality coconuts. This hybrid combines the vigorous growth of tall varieties with the early bearing nature of dwarf varieties. The TXD coconut palm usually starts bearing fruits within 3–4 years after planting and can produce a large number of coconuts per year under proper management. The trees grow taller than dwarf varieties but are more productive, making them suitable for commercial coconut farming. The coconuts produced are medium to large in size and contain good quality copra and coconut water.
